Family-Owned Since 1965

Camdens is a family owned and operated business founded in Niles, Michigan. Currently operating under its third generation of ownership, Camdens has been in the Niles area since 1965. In 1968 Camdens moved from 2nd Street to Main Street, becoming a featured Magnavox dealer. From 1971 to 1978 Camdens was located in Bell Plaza. During that time, they added Appliances to their already successful Television and Stereo business. Mark Miars became the sole owner of the business after his father, Cam Miars, sold the business to him. We thank each and every customer that we have had the pleasure of serving and look forward to serving Niles, South Bend and the surrounding Michiana area for many more years.

In 1982 Camdens made two bold moves

They opened a store in Edwardsburg, Michigan, across from Four Lakes Country Club, in a building previously owned by Ducks Appliances.

They added Video Rentals to their business. Laser Disc, VHS and Video Game rentals were part of Camdens until about 1999.
